He died as he lived, praying for the welfare of his country,
and holding forth an example of the manner in which the
principles of civil and religious liberty should ever be
defended(cheers )-for while they contended for the cause of
truth and justice, they should ever labour to have upon their
side the additional strength of faith and piety and all the
virtues. (Hear.) The Rev. gentleman concluded by moving a vote
of thanks to the chairman.

   Lord Nugent briefly acknowledged the same, after which a
friendly discussion followed, in which Mr. Tancred, M.P., and
several other persons took part. The party broke up about six
o'clock, highly pleased with the day's proceedings.
A number of ladies were among the company present.
